How to Make a Navagation Bar

1.) Change the size to whatever you want.  I did 1024x100.

2.) Pick a background of your choice to fit your website.



3.) Open up a new Photoshop document and create a button.

4.) drag out markers to evenly space you're navagations.

5.)Place the navagations between each of the markers.  There are five in total.

6.) Drag more makers out to show you where the middle of each button is

7.) Choose the text tool and make the writing center as you type.  Make any 5 navagations you would like.

8.) Use the slice tool to creat a link on each navagation.  Copy and past the URL to your link in the URL box.

9.) Your project is finished and you have a navagation bar.

yesterday in class i was attempting to make my logo. I got it done but i had a lot of trouble working with photoshop.

 In my website I want to advertise a home car wash.  To catch the peoples eye, I will use various pictures and eye catching colors.  This way when people see the website they will be interesting and explore my website.  My website will be targeting young drivers just about my age, both males and females.

Today in class i worked on my html some more. I am starting to get the hang of it.  Today i learned how to post pictures to a website and also i learned how to make tables.  Making tables took me most of the period and i had some trouble getting it right.

Today in class, I tried to make a website for the first time.  It was tricky at first but i started to get the hang of it.

Part 1
1.  J.C.R. Licklide.  He called it the Galactic Network. It was created in 1962.

Part 2
1.  HTML stands for "Hypertext Markup Language".  It is the abreviation or slang word for what the web page means.

2.  To write a HTML for a website can can use programs such as, microsoft notpad.

3.One program we are using to build a website is Photoshop.

Banner

A banner is a rectangular advertisement place either above below or on the side of a website.  It usually is a link that takes you directly to the advertisments website.

A header is the top rectangular shape that runs accross the top of the web page.  The purpose of the header is to promote your comapnies brand and make it instantly reconizable to your audiance.

The difference between the two is that in a bander it is promoting a different product and is providing you a direct link to that products website.  In a header it is attempting to catch the audiances eye and get them to continue to look at there website.

A pixel is a single point on a graphic image. Graphic moniters display pictures by dividing the display screen into thousands or millions of pixels.  They are aranged into rows and columns.  The pixels are so close together it appears that the screen in connected.

Google is a successful website because it is the best search engine in the world today.

Espn is a great website because it give people information on in the sports worls like, interesting news, scores and updates on games.  You can even watch there show from the website.

Twitter is a way for friends and family to stay connected and always know whats going on.

Say you wanted to read up on the news in New York but you dnt get the paper ever day, you can just go to the new yorl times website and read the paper online.

Cnn is another great website to get updates on knew and watch footage from reporters.

Wikapedia comes in great handy if you are writing an essay or need to read up on a certain topics.  It provides great information on anything you want to look up.

Good place to buy products for cheap prices.

Ask it any question and it will give you a good answer and provide links.

It gives you great information on events that occured in the past.  Also, it always you to watch episodes that were on the tv channel.

Give you information on every apple product that is sold, and also allows you to buy that product online instead of going to the store.

Purpose of a Website

            When making a website, there are many different components that you need to take in to prospective.  You need to have a purpose for making the website.  The business part of the website, for what reason are you making it, are you trying to sell an item?  The creativity of the website, catch the buy of others.  Also, marking of the website, you have to put your website out there.  Get people to know what it is.

            When you create a site, try to make it different from others.  Give the people something new to look at.  Make the user want to stay on your site with and interesting home page.  The reader should not be able to find your portfolio section within the first five second.   If he does then your site is to dull and simple.  This will also cause the reader to explore the website more and find new things that interest him.  Make your website easy to follow so that the reader is able to know where everything is on it.  Also, make it easy for people to search your website.  You can use “traffic source” and “keywords” to get your website to pop up when people search those words.  When you use a website for business it works very well because it is and easy way to learn about what the business is and what its all about.

           

When making a website it is very key that you know the keys to making a very good and successful website. Make sure you have a purpose, make sure the business part is clear and people know what they are looking at, and make sure its creative and catches the readers eye.

Today in class, I created this blog and attempted to finish my essay.  I almost finished the essay, and just have a couple more things to say.
